Hydrogen purification by PSA

Description 

一、present

In industrial hydrogen purification by pressure swing adsorption (PSA), the adsorbents generally adsorb the easily adsorbed components out of the gas mixture at ambient temperature and high pressure, while the not easily adsorbed components (such as hydrogen) flow out from one end of the bed as the product, and then the adsorbent bed is depressurized to desorb the adsorbates and discharge them out from the other end of the bed, thus gas separation and purification is realized, and the adsorbents are regenerated at the meantime.However, in general PSA process, there are two ways to regenerate the adsorbents, one is to "purge" the bed with product gas to reduce the partial pressure of the adsorbed impurities and displace the desorbed impurities. The advantage is that it can be operated under normal pressure, but the disadvantage is that more product gas is lost; Another regeneration method is using vacuum, desorbing the adsorbed impurities under negative pressure, which is commonly known as vacuum pressure swing adsorption (VPSA or VSA). The advantage of VPSA process is high product yield, but the disadvantage is that a vacuum pump is required, and the energy consumption of the unit is relatively higher. In practice, which method of the above to use depends on feed gas composition, product purity and yield requirements, etc.

二、Technical features 

1.Simple, advanced and reliable process flow with strong applicability of feed gases;

2.High hydrogen product purity, from 98% to 99.999%;

3.High hydrogen recovery, from 60% to 99% depending on gas source and product conditions; 

4.Wide operating pressure range of 0.2-7.0MPaG, low energy consumption, high flexibility of 20-120%, and continuous on-stream time over 4 years;

5.High degree of automation, with functions such as self-adaptive adjustment and automatic fault diagnosis, easy startup and shutdown, and unmanned automatic control.

变换气,甲醇裂解气,甲醇驰放气、合成氨尾气,炼厂加氢低分气、焦炉煤气、水煤气、催化干气,重整氢等各类含氢气体。
