一、Description
Nitrogen generator by pressure swing adsorption (PSA nitrogen generator for short) is a nitrogen generation equipment designed and manufactured according to the gas separation theory of pressure swing adsorption. Generally, two adsorbers are used, and the fully automatic control system strictly controls the sequences according to the specific programmable program to alternately conduct pressurized adsorption and depressurized regeneration, to achieve nitrogen and oxygen separation and obtain the required high purity nitrogen.

三、Applications
Protective gas in metal heat treatment process, gas for chemical production and nitrogen purge for various storage tanks and pipes, gas for rubber and plastic production, nitrogen preservation packaging in food industry, purge and blanketing gas in beverage industry, nitrogen charged packaging and vessel oxygen-freeing in pharmaceutical industry, protective gas in production of electronic components and semiconductor in electronic industry, etc.
四、Technical features
(1) VPSA-O2 oxygen generator starts up quickly (≤30min);
(2) New special LIX lithium-based oxygen adsorbent: higher N2/O2 separation coefficient, higher nitrogen adsorption capacity and higher strength under low-pressure conditions; LIX oxygen adsorbent has advanced performance, low usage and long service life; the adsorbent is self-developed and produced by Chengdu Huaxi Chemical Technology Co;
(3) Large calibre hydraulically driven triple eccentric full-metal torque programmable butterfly valve: 2 million times switching without leakage, switching time ≤ 2 seconds, maximum calibre up to DN1600; the programmable butterfly valve is self-developed and produced by Chengdu Huaxi Chemical Technology Co;
(4) PLC self-control system: automatic fault tower removal and fault tower automatic optimisation recovery technology, adaptive pressure adjustment technology; high degree of automation; unattended operation can be achieved;
(5) High oxygen yield, small load of blower and vacuum pump; the use of Roots vacuum pump saves 20-30% energy compared with water ring vacuum pump;
(6) Low power consumption per unit of oxygen production and low cooling water consumption;
(7) Two-bed process and combination, simple structure, low cost;
(8) Construction period is short, occupies less land, investment saving, about 75% of the investment for the same output of deep-cooling oxygen generator, and fewer operators, more than 50% less than the post of deep-cooling oxygen generator personnel;
(9) Strong operation flexibility, can be adjusted in 30-110% load;
(10) Adjustable purity, low energy consumption. Purity: 50-95% adjustable, energy consumption: 0.26-0.38Kwh/Nm3O2;
(11) The large-scale variable pressure adsorption air separation oxygen generation device adopts the radial flow adsorption tower structure developed by our company: while controlling the thickness of the adsorbent in the adsorption tower, it effectively reduces the inlet gas line speed, reduces the bed resistance, and saves energy by 5-10% compared with the axial adsorption tower; it reduces the dead space of the bed, and improves the oxygen yield of the adsorbent; and avoids the pulverisation and fluidisation of the LIX lithium oxygen molecular sieve adsorbent and prolongs the life of the adsorbent.
At present, our company's large-scale vacuum variable pressure adsorption oxygen-enriched device single series of oxygen production has reached 20,000Nm3/h (equivalent to pure oxygen) design and production capacity, the product oxygen purity according to the different conditions of use can be arbitrarily determined between 50% to 95% O2, our company has been put into operation VPSA-O2 oxygen device oxygen comprehensive power consumption in 0.26-0.38Kwh / Nm3O2 or so, the device has no power consumption of 0.26-0.38Kwh. Nm3O2, the trouble-free production cycle of the device is more than two years, the main process operation data and equipment safety chain are concentrated in the main control room by the computer unified automatic management and adjustment, and even unmanned operation and remote control can be achieved, which effectively reduces the cost of production management and the labour intensity of the operators. In addition, the unit oxygen consumption of our oxygen plant is 10-50% lower than that of the traditional deep-cooling oxygen plant, the comprehensive investment is 10-20% lower, the maintenance cost is more than 30% lower, the management cost is more than 50% lower, and there is no problem of explosion due to the accumulation of organic matter in the deep-cooling plant, which can create obvious economic benefits for the users.
